KRANENBURGH EXPOSITION LUCEBERT. THUIS IN BERGEN - CONCEPT, STYLING & SOURCING

Lucebert was an incredibly versatile Dutch poet and artist. The Kranenburgh Museum in Bergen hosted a major retrospective of his work, curated by Johan Kramer titled 'Thuis in Bergen' (At home in Bergen, Lucebert's hometown). We were asked to come up with a concept and design for the Jazz room, with jazz inspired works by Lucebert. We chose a black and white theme as a metaphor for the rhythmic base of jazz music. The colorful works of Lucebert act as the improvisational part in jazz. Almost all the furniture we sourced is vintage. New items we selected are the Flos 265 lamp and the Lilly lounge chair by Harvink. Collaboration with Jules David. Photography Dim Balsem.
